MARE
MARE is a new photographic series that emerged from the observation of the Mediterranean Sea, off the coast of Italy, during a family trip, a journey through time. Observing the slight oscillations of the ocean surface, its moving contours, its reflected color nuances… time began to stretch and so did the images. These, in an attempt to capture this soft dishevelment, were elongated, absorbing time in their dilated visuality.
The title MARE (“sea in Italian”) brings in its lyrics the summary of this new photographic path, this look that blurs the lines of time; as it carries a foreign acronym created for this purpose: MARE – Motion Action Randomly Embraced. … the intention to represent the passing of time in the moment.
